Introduction to Weddings Across the Globe

Welcome to “Weddings Across the Globe”! My name is Amanda Virga, and I am a seasoned wedding professional from the United States (New York City Metro Area), currently traveling the world for a year while studying the wedding culture in each of my destinations! After gaining a decade of experience in the industry working for a vineyard, catering hall, and hotel, planning over 350 weddings - I decided to take a break from the United States Wedding market to travel the globe and learn about weddings across 5 other continents and 20 countries.

It has been a dream come true for me to have an opportunity to experience weddings in some of the most surreal settings - a Castle in Ireland, a Barn In Scotland, a Vineyard in Tuscany, a Beach in Bali - the list goes on! In all of my experience, one thing that has become very clear is that every wedding, every client, every tradition - is drastically different, and to be able to become acquainted with these trends across the globe will certainly be the most epic journey!

Aside from appeasing my own personal fascination, my goal is to provide my readers with the highlights of my journey - Whether you are a wedding professional looking to embrace some new ideas for your clients, a bride planning a local wedding hoping to incorporate an inventive trend outside of the standards you have already seen at countless of your friends weddings, and of course any brides looking to possibly plan a destination wedding in one of these locations!
